About the Author
Megan Marchal is the Pharmacist In Charge of the CoverMyMeds Specialty Pharmacy, a non-dispensing pharmacy that can be utilized to provide patient support services for the company’s tech-enabled hub solution, AMP: Access for More Patients™. Megan is responsible for daily operations and the continuous innovation of the CoverMyMeds Specialty Pharmacy. She also leads a team that supports the company’s pharmaceutical clients and their patient support programs.
Megan brings more than a decade of experience working in the pharmacy space, including retail, specialty and outpatient healthcare system settings. In roles prior to joining CoverMyMeds, she championed process improvement including ordering, dispensing, inventory management, compliance and reporting.
Megan is currently serving her second term on the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy, where she’s held a variety of leadership positions — including president. She is a graduate of the University of Toledo, holding a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Megan’s professional association memberships include the Academy of Pharmacy of Central Ohio, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Ohio Pharmacists Association, and American Pharmacists Association.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and three children, Abby, Libby and Michael. She enjoys relaxing outside, whether it’s camping and hiking though her favorite State Parks, tending to her garden or at the soccer field coaching or cheering her children’s teams to victory.
